SPAY/NEUTER ASSISTANCE:
The mission of the Eagle Valley Humane Society is
the prevention of cruelty to animals,
the enforcement of animal cruelty laws,
the relief of suffering among animals,
the promotion of humane education,
the facilitation of the adoption of homeless animals that are seeking forever homes,
spreading community awareness of animal issues, and
the prevention of pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs.
To help achieve our mission the Family Pet Assistance Program has been established to benefit low income individuals and families who cannot otherwise afford to spay and neuter their pets. This Program will help prevent pet overpopulation.
The Eagle Valley Humane Society has agreements with several Eagle County veterinarians who will participate in the Program by reducing the cost of the surgery, which will be paid by EVHS. Interested individuals and families must complete an application form and must provide proof of income or need. All Information obtained will be kept confidential between EVHS and the veterinarian. Data reported in this application will be reviewed and verified by staff prior to acceptance into the Program. Clients will then be referred to a veterinarian.
Applicants can be approved only after the following criteria has been provided:
1. Completed application.
2. Verification of income or need and rabies vaccination.
Applications and supportive information can be received in person, by fax, by mail, or by email via our Contact Form.
